Reuse & Refill Paviljoen
Reuse & Refill Paviljoen
Reuse, refill, rethink, renew, redesign and recycle are key concepts in addressing today’s and tomorrow’s packaging challenges. These terms contribute to reducing CO2 emissions, but how realistic is this as the global population continues to grow and prosperity increases?
Reusable and refillable packaging play a vital role in the circular economy by extending the lifespan of packaging materials and reducing waste. They provide a more sustainable alternative in both production and consumption, answering the rising demand for eco-friendly solutions. That’s why, in collaboration with Hobart Nederland and Haval/Circuware, we proudly present the Reuse & Refill Pavilion at Packaging Innovations.

(New) packaging materials
What does that look like?
Everything in the pavilion is aligned with this theme. We utilize re-used booth construction materials, and there are water tanks for refilling water. A cozy square will be created with a large brainstorming table, surrounded by separate designated areas for each participant.

Swapbox
SwapBox is a reusable packaging service that helps foodservices, workplaces, and events to eliminate packaging waste. We offer a modular service of reusable packaging, logistics, tracking technology, and cleaning that fits any type of operations or event. Packaging waste is a major use of our planet’s resources. Each EU citizen produces 174 kg of waste each year. When it comes to food, most packaging are used for less than 30 minutes. ‘Compostable’ packaging is also single-use packaging; costing water, energy, and fuel to create and transport. Unlike what most consumers believe, compostable packaging are incinerated or landfilled as cities have no practical way to compost them.
PAKT Packaging
Is glass the ideal packaging? A reusable glass container produces significantly less CO2 emissions than a single-use one. That’s why, with PAKT, we are developing new technologies that will make glass packaging reusable in the future. Together, we’re contributing to a world without packaging waste.
LoopTas
LoopTas is an innovative circular IoT system developed to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of reusable shopping bags. Furthermore, it encourages a circular lifestyle through a rewards program and reduces plastic shopping bag waste.
